# Add Clawifi to your agent

> One line for your client, pointing at the hosted server https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp. No key to copy: the free tools work at once, and your client asks you to sign in (a free account, 1,000 credits a month) when a call needs one.

Canonical page: https://clawifi.dev/install

> Add Clawifi to this agent as an MCP server: the hosted server is https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp over streamable HTTP, with MCP sign-in (OAuth 2.1). Use this client's own command to add it (the lines are at https://clawifi.dev/install.md), then make one call to search_free to check it works.

## Claude Code

**Claude Code**

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http clawifi https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp
```

Then run `/mcp` in Claude Code, pick clawifi and sign in. The free tools answer before you sign in.

## Codex

**Codex**

```sh
codex mcp add clawifi --url https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp
codex mcp login clawifi
```

`codex mcp login` opens the Clawifi sign-in page in your browser.

## Cursor

- Add to Cursor: cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=clawifi&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5jbGF3aWZpLmRldi9tY3AifQ==

One click adds the hosted server to Cursor. Cursor asks you to sign in when a call needs an account.

## VS Code

- Install in VS Code: vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22clawifi%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.clawifi.dev%2Fmcp%22%7D

One click adds the hosted server to VS Code's MCP settings.

## Claude (claude.ai and Desktop)

[Open Clawifi in the Claude connectors directory](https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/clawifi)

Add it as a connector. The free tools work at once; the first call that needs an account shows a Connect card, and after you sign in the call goes through.

## ChatGPT

**ChatGPT**

```
https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp
```

With developer mode on in ChatGPT's app settings, create an app with this URL and OAuth sign-in, then sign in when ChatGPT asks.

## Hermes

**Hermes**

```yaml
mcp_servers:
  clawifi:
    url: https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp
    headers:
      Authorization: ${CLAWIFI_AUTH}
```

Add it to `~/.hermes/config.yaml` and put `CLAWIFI_AUTH=Bearer your_key` in `~/.hermes/.env`. Hermes uses an API key from the [console](https://clawifi.dev/account).

## Any MCP client

**Any MCP client**

```
https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp
```

Streamable HTTP. A client that supports MCP sign-in (OAuth 2.1) signs in on its own; any other client sends `Authorization: Bearer your_key`.

## Prefer an API key or a local server?

Every client can also send an API key as `Authorization: Bearer`, or run the local server, `clawifi-mcp`, with your key in `CLAWIFI_API_KEY`: [Clients](https://clawifi.dev/docs/clients) has the line for each one. Keys are in the [console](https://clawifi.dev/account); a [free account](https://clawifi.dev/signup) has 1,000 credits a month.

- Prices as Markdown: [/pricing.md](https://clawifi.dev/pricing.md); every call says what it charged in `X-Clawifi-Credits-Charged`
- Every page as Markdown: [/llms-full.txt](https://clawifi.dev/llms-full.txt)

Clawifi works with these clients; it is not affiliated with their makers.
