## Two ways to connect

| Client | Hosted server (no install) | Local server (clawifi-mcp) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Claude Code](https://clawifi.dev/for/claude-code) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Yes |
| [Cursor](https://clawifi.dev/for/cursor) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Yes |
| [Codex](https://clawifi.dev/for/codex) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Yes |
| [Claude Desktop](https://clawifi.dev/for/claude-desktop) | Not covered in our docs | Yes |
| [Hermes Agent](https://clawifi.dev/for/hermes-agent) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Yes |
| [n8n](https://clawifi.dev/for/n8n) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Not covered on this page |
| [LangChain](https://clawifi.dev/for/langchain) | Yes, with your key as a bearer token | Not covered on this page |

The hosted MCP server is `https://api.clawifi.dev/mcp` (streamable HTTP). Send your key as `Authorization: Bearer`; every tool call is billed like the API route it runs. The local server comes with `pip install clawifi` and calls the same API. Without a key, `search_free`, `fetch_url`, `scrape_url` and `map_site` work on the hosted server as a trial: 12 calls a minute and 50 a day per address. A [free API key](https://clawifi.dev/signup) includes 1,000 credits a month and opens every tool.

Your client is not listed? Any client that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP or stdio can connect the same way: see [Clients](https://clawifi.dev/docs/clients) and [Remote MCP](https://clawifi.dev/docs/remote-mcp), or use the [Python SDK](https://clawifi.dev/sdk) and [HTTP API](https://clawifi.dev/api-reference) directly.
